Media Strategist Reveals Truth

Good afternoon, the time is 2:21pm and as I tap on the keyboard and begin to review the weekly web site traffic flows and the stats from my company’s websites, Facebook, blogs and twitter account – I began to wonder WHY use Twitter?

On twitter I’m getting requests like “I will follow you if you follow me” what a TOTAL WASTE OF TIME.

As a Media Strategist I study all different types of wonderful toys and tools that can help you make money in your business. Tools that make marketing to your customers easier and fun.

With the explosion of the internet in 1990s and the invention of Social Networking in the 2000s we have new and wonderful toys being pushed on us every day. And many times the tools are just SCAM’s to waste your money and time.

Take Twitter: the only people making money with Twitter are the people who sell products on “How to Use Twitter”. There are people following other people in the hope they will get other people to follow them.

It’s just a scam and a waste of your time.

Now if you are the marketing department of a large company or a famous celebrity you can afford to have a person fulltime watching and studying all this new technology. As a small business owner it will send you broke!

The truth is, if you are a small business owner the only way you can sell your products or services is to build an honest and trustworthy relationship with your customers. Once you have done that they will buy from you!

Remember it took SMS over 7 years before it became main stream and a tool that empowered people and business. More time and experimenting are still required for Twitter!

At the end of September I will be releasing a whitepaper entitled “Making Money from Twitter Scam” which will reveal the findings of a 3 month study into Twitter for Australian Business owners.
