Get Creative to Encourage Slow Sales this Christmas Holiday

Santa hatThere is no denying that sales can be somewhat slow during the Christmas holidays. To encourage consumers who may be somewhat reluctant this year, you may need to exercise some creativity.

One great way to get started is to send out a video card instead of the traditional greeting card. Video sites like YouTube have made it incredibly easy to post your own videos that can be used for everything from viral marketing videos to Christmas holiday greetings. Gather everyone together and sing your favourite Christmas carol. It will give your employees a much needed, not to mention fun respite while also offering your customers a break from the same boring old Christmas greeting cards. You can be sure that every customer on your list will be abuzz chatting up your greeting card this year and it may even be enough to encourage them to check out your latest products and services!

Are you sure that your customers are familiar with all of your products and services? If you have some items that may seem to be moving somewhat slowly, now could be an excellent time to introduce your customer base to everything you have to offer. A great way to do this is to feature some of your lesser known items by substituting them in a 12 Days of Christmas promotion. Consider promoting a new or even a lesser known product or service each and every day. You could even toss in a special discount for that product or service on that special day to encourage even more sales.

Sales may be traditionally slow during the Christmas holidays but that certainly does not mean that you have to sit back and watch your profits plummet. With a little thought and creativity you can give your sales a little boost this year.
